TransVAC in Kendall County (Kendall Area Transit/KAT) service areas includes all of Kendall County and designated locations outside the County, including, but not limited to, Aurora, Joliet, Naperville, Plainfield, and Sandwich. To get a complete listing of these locations, please contact dispatch. One leg of the trip must begin or end in Kendall County. The service caters to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and the general public based on space and availability.

All riders must be registered for TransVAC of Kendall County (Kendall Area Transit/KAT) Dial-A-Ride services.

Schedule a Ride
Trips can be reserved between 4 and 14 days in advance. Priority in trip scheduling is given to individuals with disabilities and seniors based on space and availability.

- Cash fare must be the exact amount.
- Drivers do not handle cash and will not make changes or issue vouchers.
Children
When transporting children, all Illinois child safety-seat laws must be followed. To learn more about these laws, please call VAC or visit the Illinois Department of State website. VAC does not provide child safety seats, nor are VAC drivers allowed to fasten these seats. All riders must provide child safety seats to ride if required.
Assistance
TransVAC in DeKalb County operators are trained to take a wheelchair up or down one step by themselves. A travel assistant is required when a rider’s needs are beyond the driver’s responsibility. One travel assistant may ride at no charge.

Illinois Relay is a FREE service that allows people who are Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, Speech-Disabled, or Deaf-Blind to place and receive calls to standard telephone users via a keyboard or assistive device.
